I am pleased to announce that Veezu, the UK’s leading private hire technology business, has made a strategic investment in Cab9 as part of a shared ambition to create one of the strongest technology platforms in the market.

Cab9 will remain an independent entity, directly managed and separately governed by its own board. Its mission remains unchanged: to serve the wider private hire industry, both in the UK and globally, of which Veezu is now an important member.

I will continue as CEO of Cab9 and remain a significant shareholder, reflecting my ongoing commitment to the long-term success of the business, its customers and its employees.

For our clients, the message is simple:
This is the strongest leap forward in Cab9’s journey so far. The people, passion and product thinking that built Cab9 are not going away. They are being strengthened. Our commitment to innovation remains the same. Our commitment to service remains the same. Our commitment to challenging the norm remains the same.

Why this matters?

For those who have visited the Cab9 office in London, you may have noticed a quotation by Sir Henry Royce just behind where Saj sits:

“Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it.”

It has always defined the principle on which we built Cab9.

Cab9 first went live a decade ago, in 2016, with Excel Executive in London.

A decade may be a short time to complete something, but it is long enough to pour meaning, belief and soul into it. That is what we have tried to do: contribute to the world around us by writing better software. From a small taxi office to ground-breaking technology launched at global events, Cab9 has come a long way.

There are moments in a company’s journey where you have to pause, look back, and then look forward with absolute honesty. For us, Cab9 has never just been a dispatch system. It has always been something more personal.

We built it to close the technology gap and help move the industry forward. Over time, Cab9 has become more than software. It has become a statement, an attitude, and a community shaped by our team, our clients and the wider industry around us. That is something we are incredibly proud of.

The Next Step

It is in Cab9’s nature to keep evolving. That is what has kept us innovating, close to our clients, and moving beyond just software. And today, we are announcing one such evolution.

But this one is different. This evolution asks a bigger question:

What does Cab9 become next?

Cab9 is often referred to as “taxi dispatch software”, but that has never truly captured what we are building.

What we have built goes far beyond dispatch: real-time systems, AI-driven decision-making, payments, communications, automation, passenger engagement, driver tools, data intelligence and operational infrastructure.

We are building for one of the most fragmented, underserved and important sectors in the world. Ground transport is global, complex and operationally intense, and in many places it is still waiting for a proper technological leap forward.

Going back to the Sir Henry Royce quotation, when something does not exist, you design it.

That is the opportunity in front of us. This is the shift we are making:

From dispatch software to
“Engineering the digital future of ground transport”

But to genuinely pursue that vision, we need more than ambition. We need planning, execution, talent, operational depth, capital and solid backing from people who understand the scale of the opportunity.

That is where Veezu comes in.

Why Veezu?

When I first met Nathan, CEO of Veezu, and we discussed what could be possible if we combined our thinking, it was clear that we saw the future in a very similar way.

We both believed that the industry did not just need another piece of software.

It needed a genuine technology stack.

This collaboration brings significant additional resources, operational experience, strategic support and talent to an already talented Cab9 team.

It gives us the ability to move faster.
It gives us the ability to think bigger.
It gives us the ability to build with more strength behind us.

A great deal of effort has gone into creating the right structure around this investment, with governance that protects what makes Cab9 special while giving it the backing to grow. This was very important to us, and the team at Veezu has supported that vision from the start.

Cab9 has always been built for the industry, and that will not change.

What gives me confidence is the shared long-term mindset with Veezu: this is not just a transaction, but a chance to combine great technology, operational scale and ambitious thinking to genuinely move the industry forward.

To our clients, thank you for believing in us, challenging us, supporting us and helping shape Cab9 into what it is today.

The mission remains the same.
Only now, we move forward with more strength behind us.
